The Digital Strategies portfolio was established in November 2024 to provide leadership in information technology, focusing on enterprise-level services and systems, with a particular emphasis on information technology related to the academic mission of the University.
Digital Strategies collaborates with the Chief Information Officer (CIO) to lead strategic planning efforts in close consultation with Deans, Vice-Presidents, Vice-Provosts and other academic administrators.
A key focus is the renewal of U of T’s student information systems, and the advancement of institutional policy, guidelines and projects.
Digital Strategies coordinates between institutional and distributed IT services, and serves as the strategic lead for digital transformation in the realm of academic experience, including research, teaching and learning.
IASA Modernization
Institutional Academic and Student Applications (IASA) modernization, including ROSI and the many connected applications, feeds, and reports that support student-related academic processes across the University.
Artificial Intelligence
Implementation of the recommendations of the University’s AI Task Force and Working Groups to achieve a human-centred approach to AI that builds on U of T’s leadership in AI development.
